Jeff Cable started his career in San Francisco Bay Area in 2004. He started photographing Bar and Bat Mitzvahs. He served as a marketing executive at companies like Symantec, Magellan, Micron for more than 25 years. However while traveling for his corporate job Jeff became passionate about photography. His passion for photography grew while his photography business grew with it. He ended up leaving his corporate job in 2016 to pursue photography full time. He became globally known for his creative and sharing his love for photography with others.
He is best known for photographing the Beijing, Vancouver, London, Sochi, Rio de janeiro, and PyeongChang olympics as part of the US olympic committee. He doesn't only take photos of corporate clients, He also teaches photography to enthusiasts around the world. He is one of the most respected instructors of photography, teaching in Africa, Australia, China, Europe, Central and South America, and across the United states.
His personal views and ideas are projected in his work. He cares greatly about helping photographers improve and reflecting what he teaches in his photos. He has also taken many photos of different wild life in different places such as Africa and South America. When taking these photos he makes sure that the safety and structure of these living things are preserved. He is also interested in projecting different parts of these areas. "When someone thinks about wildlife in Africa, they typically think of lions, elephants, zebras and giraffe. But along with those animals, there is also an abundance of monkeys and baboons." This is a quote from one of his many blogs.
Jeff Cable has influenced me because of where he came from. He started as a simple direct minded cooperate person. Then his mind completely changed when he found photography. He went from someone who didn't see the outside the box answers. To someone that goes all over looking for different creators and wildlife. Exploring different regions instead of sitting in an office. This influences me because currently I am very simple and direct minded and trying to find that open minded idea.
When taking my photos I used a grey bed sheet as the background. I didn't have the same people for all of them so I used my brother. I took some artistic liberties choosing outfits I had that closely resembled the ones in the originals. I had my brother make it a little comical to bring in that side of Jeff while still keeping the serious aspect of the professional head shot. I also used very simple titles for my photos as Jeff didn't title his photos, so I tried to stay as close to that with my simple titles.
